Privacy
1. Scope and contact
This policy explains how Pinpoint v2 handles personal information on mugbot.dev.
- Privacy contact: support@mugbot.dev
- Covers: browsing this site, the product updates sign-up form, and related email
This site does not control your devices remotely or collect PCB design files. Information sent when you use the product with an AI client is governed by that AI service’s terms and settings.
2. Information we collect
We collect what you enter in the form and some information processed automatically to prevent abuse.
- Required: name, email, country or region, role, intended uses, how you heard about Pinpoint, and consent to this policy
- Optional: whether you have an oscilloscope and its model, company or school, and what you hope Pinpoint will do
- Automatic: language, the version of this policy you accepted, and time received
- Automatic: IP address and browser information, processed by Cloudflare Turnstile to detect bots
We also use your IP and email to limit repeated submissions. For this we keep only an irreversible hash for up to 10 minutes. We use no analytics or advertising cookies.
3. How we use it
We use this information only to:
- email you that your sign-up is complete and tell registrants when the product launches
- review your answers, answer questions and discuss adoption
- notify the operator of new registrations
- prevent abuse and spam
You accept this policy when you submit the form. Your sign-up takes effect when you submit it.
We do not share your information with third parties except as required by law. Entrusting data to the service providers below is not sharing in this sense.
4. Service providers and international transfers
These providers store or process data on our behalf. All are based in the United States, so your data may be processed outside Japan.
- Cloudflare, Inc. (USA): hosting, form storage and bot detection
- Resend, Inc. (USA): sending sign-up and product announcement emails
- Discord Inc. (USA): notifying the operator by posting registrations to a private channel
- Google LLC (USA): receiving and replying to email sent to support@mugbot.dev (Google Workspace)
The United States has no comprehensive privacy law equivalent to Japan’s, but each provider applies contractual safeguards. See the privacy policies of Cloudflare (https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/), Resend (https://resend.com/legal/privacy-policy), Discord (https://discord.com/privacy) and Google (https://policies.google.com/privacy).
5. Retention and deletion
We delete information once its purpose is fulfilled.
- Sign-ups: until you unsubscribe or the product is discontinued
- Unsubscribed sign-ups: 30 days after unsubscribing
- Email delivery records: 90 days after sending
- Rate-limit data: 10 minutes
6. Security and cookies
We protect your information with these measures:
- HTTPS for all traffic
- Only the operator can access stored data; there is no public admin page
- Unsubscribe links are signed and cannot be forged
- No submitted content or email addresses in logs
- Bot checks, rate limits and input validation against abuse
This site sets no cookies. Your theme choice is stored only in your browser. Cloudflare Turnstile processes browser information as needed to detect bots. If we add analytics, we will update this policy first.
7. Your rights
To access, correct, stop using or delete your information, email support@mugbot.dev from the address you registered. After verifying your identity we reply by email, normally within 14 days, free of charge.
Every product announcement has an unsubscribe link you can use at any time.
8. Changes
We post changes on this page and email registrants about material changes, such as new purposes of use.
